A Message from the President
Resona Asset Management was established in August 2015. Since then, through several processes such as the integration of Resona Bank’s asset management functions in January 2020, we have served a wide range of clients, from retail customers to institutional investors, to provide asset management services. I would like to express my gratitude to our clients.
In recent years we have experienced various major changes in the social and economic fields. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were forced to undergo rapid changes in lifestyles and views on working, when such changes would have needed a long time before. Topics related to SDGs or climate change are getting much more attention, and even in the financial markets, we have more opportunities to discuss the sustainability of society, the foundation of our lives, in various situations.
Resona Asset Management’s “reason for being” or “purpose” is “to provide abundance and happiness to future generations as well as our own.”
To embody this as an asset management company, we devote ourselves to providing stable investment results over the long term and contributing to a sustainable society. I believe asset management services have the ability to accomplish these goals simultaneously and continuously.
With the spread of longer life design planning—symbolized by the phrase “the 100-year lifespan”—it is necessary to manage assets from a longer-term perspective for stable growth. We will continue to work creatively and earnestly in order to provide our clients with long-term stable investment results, brought by the accumulation of asset management know-how cultivated as a trust bank over many years, with long-term diversified investment.
Moreover, as a responsible investment company, we will continue to work with our investee companies sincerely, to carry out highly effective stewardship activities, and to contribute them to enhancing their corporate value. We will also work with those involved to resolve complex and intertwined social challenges and we continue to persistently carry out the process for realizing a sustainable society.
